some of my design process is in tiny writing and diagrams

whether it is designing a new feature, operations flow, or mindfulness talk, i turn to paper and colourful pens

writing in this tiny way encourages me to slow down and be present with my thoughts

i try to be intentional in all that i do

what’s with the lowercase?

it feels less formal (and perhaps welcoming) and is a benign way of stretching my beliefs and patterns. ‘david’ and ‘i’ in particular, reference the impermanent, ever changing ego identity. one obstacle to beautiful and functional design is an individual’s strongly held (and biased) opinions. mitigating this leads to happy work relationships and optimal outputs.
