thoughtful information arrangement
How does one know where to put things?
The perennial design question.
We rely on human perception, preferences, and existing standards. We build upon layers of systems. As much as we try to resist, all are subject to change. Humans and culture are constantly changing. An ability to adapt and be open to new information is vital.
Change is uncomfortable. We have experienced so much collective change in the past few years. A growth mindset is important to navigate these changes. Key characteristics of a successful designer is one who is always learning and works well with others.
Hello! I am a designer with a technical background. This affords me empathic collaboration with engineering as well as a systems approach to design operations. As a designer, I am naturally curious about the intersection between humans and technology (what we design for others). As a mindfulness practitioner and teacher, I am also intrigued by our malleable brains that can be intentionally wired (in a sense, how we design ourselves). Design is such a collaborative process and I strongly believe mindfulness practice can benefit individual contribution as well as team dynamic.
